Division has an opening for a RF Calibration Technician 2 to join
our team of qualified, diverse individuals and maintain our world
class capabilities in a dynamic environment. This position will be
located in Redondo Beach CA.The RF Calibration Technician 2 is
distinguished by demonstrated competence in executing unique
measurements, repairing and calibrating a wide variety of equipment
in different disciplines, and detecting and resolving difficult
problems. repairs under supervision and calibrates test and
measuring equipment which fail to respond to normal diagnostic and
corrective practice. Develops under supervision diagnostic
techniques and adapts equipment to accomplish necessary repairs and
measurements. Adapts measuring equipment, standards and techniques
to accomplish unique measurements beyond their routine uses.
Documents procedures, methods and systems for performing
measurements.The ideal candidate has experience working with
standard electrical RF Active/Passive equipment: Power Meters,
Power Sensors, Attenuators, Frequency Standard, Calibration kits,
Network Analyzer, Signal Generator, Phase Noise, and Spectrum
Analyzer.Essential Function:
- Calibrates electronic test measuring equipment and signal
generating equipment to conform to set standards.
- Tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains electromechanical,
mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydro mechanical, and pressure-type
measuring and indicating instruments.
- Sets up calibration sequences, methods and procedures according
to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and
requirements.
- Disassembles, cleans, repairs, and replaces defective parts of
test equipment such as pressure gauges and tension meters.
- May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical
process or other control procedures.As a full-time employee of

9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day
Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.Basic
Qualification
- High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional
education and/or related experience in metrology.
- Experience working with standard electrical RF Active/Passive
equipment: Power Meters, Power Sensors, Attenuators, Frequency
Standard, Calibration kits, Network Analyzer, Signal Generator,
Phase Noise, and Spectrum Analyzer
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret/SCI clearancePreferred
Qualifications:
- PMEL or pre-engineering education (with a degree or
certification) and five (3) years RF experience in metrology
functions.
- Active Secret/SCI Clearance.Salary Range: $51,800.00 -
$86,400.00Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in
addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward
individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in
company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions
may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop
