This position will be located on site in Redondo Beach, California.Level 2 and 3 analysts are expected to develop solutions to sophisticated problems, which require the regular use of resourcefulness and innovation and review data available. The candidate will use existing models or have the ability to craft and build estimating models based on the information available and, once complete, be able to communicate efficiently and clearly present technical approaches, findings, and present results to their management.Essential Functions:Estimates labor costs of manufacturing and engineering based on request for proposal (RFP) data submitted by prospective customersAnalyzes specifications, including sketches, blueprints, bills of material, or sample layoutsCalculates production costs using labor and material pricing schedules and historical dataCollects cost data from functional representatives and subcontractorsComputes cost estimatesPrepares and maintains historical cost dataCreates cost models for cost estimating elementsPrepares cost reports and presents findings to management, contract personnel, proposal coordinators and customer representativesThis requisition may be filled as either a level 2 Cost Estimating Analyst or a level 3 Principal Cost Estimating Analyst.Basic Qualifications for a Cost Estimating Analyst:Bachelor's degree with 3 years of Cost Estimating, Manufacturing, STEM, Engineering and/or production experience, or a Master's degree with 1 year of related experienceIntermediate experience with Microsoft Office tools, specifically performing Least Square Regression, Pivot Table Analysis, and application of Improvement Curves by type and advanced functionsBasic Qualifications for a Principal Cost Estimating Analyst:Bachelor's degree with 6 years of Cost Estimating, Manufacturing, STEM, Engineering and/or production experie, or a Master's degree with 4 years of related experienceIntermediate experience with Microsoft Office tools, specifically performing Least Square Regression, Pivot Table Analysis, and application of Improvement Curves by type and advanced functionsPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge or familiarity of aerospace production operation functions, tasks, and processesOperations touch labor improvement curve theory and modelingStrong presentation skillsExperience in communicating technical and theoretical analysisExperience in supporting negotiationsExperience with ExcelIn-depth understanding of Manufacturing and Support Labor and how they interactWe offer flexible work arrangements, phenomenal learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly team environment. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
