Payload and Ground Systems (PGS) division of Northrop Grumman's
Space Systems sector seeks team members who want to solve
interesting, complex problems which protect our nation. We are a
trusted mission payload and ground system provider with extensive
experience providing end-to-end mission solutions from concept
through operations and support. The team you will support is
located at our Space Park campus in Redondo Beach, CA.As a Sr.
Staff Systems Engineer, you will directly support the Ground SEIT
IPT in leading the systems engineering and integration and test
team in the campaign to refine requirements in support of the
verification campaign, coordinate with customers to ensure
alignment to contractually required product deliveries and
documentation, influence the program's roadmap planning, and
provide systems engineering guidance to the teams.Some key
tasks:Lead Test Planning Working Groups (TPWG) with customers and
key technical stakeholders for the Early Integration Testing (EIT)
R and Integrated Segment Testing (IST)Lead the design & content of
the test overview, test objectives, and test architecture,
including mapping to requirements verificationLead I&T
execution in preparation of the EIT/IST RFR - program milestone
events.Troubleshoot surfaced critical anomalies & identify root
cause leading to quick resolution to solidify the SW & HW
baselineLead development of TRR package, content mapped to command
media/gov't provided compliance reference.Lead the TRR conduct,
ensure detailed technical content provided to meet Test Entrance
Criteria and receive Authority to ProceedResponsible for generating
& delivering formal test documentation & required test CDRLs as
directed in the SOW/DIDBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in
STEM with 14 years of related experience, or a Master's degree in
STEM with 12 years of related experience, or a PhD in STEM with 9
years of related experienceWorking knowledge of systems engineering
principles and processesActive DoD Top Secret ClearancePreferred
Qualifications:Direct experience providing technical leadership,
direction and mentoring to other technical employees to achieve
practical end resultsDirect experience with formally presenting
technical solutions to senior leadership.Experience Leading factory
HITL system tests (including EMTB, encryption devices, Cross
Domain, network routing)Experience Leading Space /Ground On Orbit
System TestExperience with Agile developmentFamiliarity with
Model-Based Systems Engineering languages (SysML/UML) and
conceptsDirect experience using the DOORS Requirements Management
DatabaseActive DoD Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain
SCI access or active SCI accessSalary Range: $178,700 USD -
$268,100 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in
addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward
individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in
company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions
may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop
