Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) has an opening for a Staff System Architect Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is based out of Redondo Beach, CA. The Staff Systems Architect Engineer will concurrently lead, support, and facilitate strategic operational improvement and transformational initiatives across SSSD. In this role, you will help achieve corporate business goals and strategic objectives by devising creative solutions and innovative ideas, creating supporting documentation and coordinating implementation. You will independently lead and support these initiatives from inception to completion by leveraging methods and tools consistent with industry standards. You will analyze business process documentation to identify opportunities for streamlining and improvements. Help design and develop process architecture, and define key capabilities and performance requirements. Defines design and technology maturity constraints of the system. Defines system implementation approach and operational concept. Ensures requirements are met and evaluates performance with customer. You will lead technical meetings with subject matter experts to capture best practices and lessons learned, and integrate those into existing processes and future state processes . You will use process mapping software (such as Nimbus) to develop and maintain process and data models; specifically to define "current state" and transform into the "future state". Essential Functions:
    • Lead in the facilitation of technical meetings to establish future state process architecture and details
    • Architect and map/draw process diagrams, using business modeling tools (Nimbus), while discussing with subject matter experts
    • Conduct business process analysis in order to identify areas of improvement
    • Analyze existing process documentation to parse out content according to process model needs and SSSD document hierarchy
    • Develop hierarchical and sequential process modeling concepts/techniques

      • Bachelors Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 14 years of aerospace, defense, or other product development industry experience; OR Masters Degree in STEM with 12 years of aerospace, defense, or other product development industry experience.
      • Experience leading, facilitating and participating in process improvement and digitization efforts
      • Experience using process modeling tools (Tibco Nimbus, ProMapp, etc.) to identify, capture, define, and analyze business processes
      • Effective communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization
      • Experience in product design and knowledge of design lifecycle
      • Understanding of hierarchical and sequential process modeling concepts/techniques
      • Experience working within cross functional teams
      • Experience analyzing business processes and implementing or streamlining improvements.
      • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD clearance Preferred Qualifications :
        • Project Management Professional (PMP)and/or Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) Certification
        • Lean Six Sigma Black or Green Belt Certification
        • Broad, enterprise-wide view and understanding of strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
        • Strong business acumen and proven track record of providing innovative solutions resulting in increased business performance
        • Understanding the value of Integrated business process framework (architecture) and the relationships of cross-functional teams
        • Active DoD Secret clearance (or higher) Salary Range: $161,000 USD - $241,400 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
