Responsibilities include participating in spacecraft to payload interface working group meetings and other interaction with spacecraft systems engineers to assure the successful integration of a critical payload on the spacecraft. This person must be comfortable working in a fast-paced rapid development environment.Basic Qualifications for Systems Engineer:Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 2+ years of engineering experience OR Master's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) disciplineCandidate must have, and be able to maintain, at least ONE of the following active U.S. Government security clearances:Dept. of Defense Top Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years ORDept. of Energy Q clearance with a background investigation date within 6 yearsCandidate must have already passed a CI polygraph examCandidate must have the ability to obtain & maintain SAP accessBasic Qualifications for Principal Systems Engineer:Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 5+ years of engineering experience OR Master's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 3+ years of engineering experience ORPhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) disciplineCandidate must have, and be able to maintain, at least ONE of the following active U.S. Government security clearances:Dept. of Defense Top Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years ORDept. of Energy Q clearance with a background investigation date within 6 yearsCandidate must have already passed a CI polygraph examCandidate must have the ability to obtain & maintain SAP accessPreferred Qualifications:Master's Degree in EngineeringExperience working on aircraft or spacecraft systemsExperience in developing, managing, and decomposing requirementsExperience in system architecture, CONOPs, or model based system engineeringExperience in subsystem, payload, or system integrationExperience using DOORS, CameoExcellent communication skills (upward and downward)Northrop Grumman offers a competitive and robust benefits program.
