Observable (LO) platforms. We are currently looking for experienced
Low Observable / Survivability staff to work on a variety of
challenging projects. One area where we are in the need of talent
is in High Performance Computing (HPC) Systems Engineering.As a HPC
supercomputer System Engineer you will perform tasks that
include:Perform system administration tasksMonitor and report HPC
system health/metrics. Identify performance bottlenecks. Modify
system wide parameters to improve performance. Evaluate effects of
those changes. Gather data and report finding to senior HPC
engineers.Perform HPC technical planning, system integration,
verification and validation, cost and risk evaluation, and
supportability and effectiveness analyses.Manage HPC system life
cycle: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation,
maintenance, and disposal.Assist software developers to install,
fine-tune, and debug software.Manage/Assist technical users running
analysis on HPC systems.Collaborate with Security and follow
guideline to design and implement cybersecurity solutionsBasic
Qualifications:Good understanding of HPC systems design,
supercomputer implementation, HPC networked architecture and
parallel processing optimization.Linux system administration
experienceProgramming experience with at least one language or
script such as C++, C#, Java, Python, BASH, CSHExperience
contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design
patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current HPC
systemsBachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology,
Engineering or Math) discipline from an accredited college or
universityMust have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top
Secret clearanceMust have the ability to obtain and maintain DoD
8570 (Security+) certificationExperience with RedHat Enterprise
Linux OSPreferred Qualifications:Experience building and
maintaining high scale distributed systems and running scalable
distributed application softwareMaster of science degree in
Computer engineering, computer science, or system engineering
discipline from an accredited college or university.Good written
and verbal communication, mentoring experience, and good
interpersonal skills.Prior experience working with clusters or
supercomputers.Hands-on experience with HPC hardware diagnostic and
repairExperience with Software compilation process (compilers, GNU
Make, CMake---etc)Familiar with cybersecurity requirements and
methodologies.Working knowledge of JSIG and STIG.This position
reports to Melbourne, FL, USA, however, this position can also be
worked from Redondo Beach, CA, CA, USA.Salary Range: $90,400 USD
$157,000 USDSalary Range 2: $112,000 USD $194,500 USDEmployees may
be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as
well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in
Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of
