team of qualified, diverse individuals in the Tactical Space
organization. This position will be located in Los Angeles, CA.Job
Summary:In this role you will:Develop methodologies for ensuring
products and processes developed by suppliers, of all product
levels, are compliant to the requirements of NG TSSD
requirementsMaintain quality evaluation, apply appropriate control
systems and protocols for processing materials into partially
finished or finished materials product through the suppliers
facilityCollaborate with Engineering, Global Supply Chain, and
Safety Mission Assurance teams to ensure supplier's quality
standards are in placeDesign and analyze inspection and testing
processes, mechanisms, and equipment; and perform
statisticalanalysis to determine the responsibility for products or
materials that do not meet required standards and
specificationsConduct audits of the supplier's quality systems and
process for deficiency, identification and correctionConduct source
inspections of materials at supplier sitesEnsure that corrective
measures meet acceptable reliability standards, and that
documentation is compliant with requirementsEngage in hardware
failure investigations, Flight/Material Review Boards, and
Corrective Action initiativesMay be certified in lean and six-sigma
quality engineering methodologiesDevelops, modifies, applies and
maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for
processing materials into partially finished or finished materials
product.Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions
to ensure quality standards are in place.Devises and implements
methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the
precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.Designs
and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and
equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs
statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the
responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required
standards and specifications.Audits quality systems for deficiency
identification and correction.Ensures that corrective measures meet
acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is
compliant with requirements.May specialize in the areas of design,
incoming material, production control, product evaluation and
reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as
they apply to product or process quality. May be certified in lean
and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies. " Knowledge,
Skills and AbilityApplies extensive technical expertise, and has
full knowledge of other related disciplines. Able to communicate
effectively and clearly present technical approaches and
findings.Develop technical solutions to complex problems which
require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.Work is
performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable
latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.
Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long term perspective,
for desired results.Guides the successful completion of major
programs and may function in a project leadership role. Erroneous
decisions or recommendations would typically result in failure to
achieve major organizational objectives.Represents the organization
as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects. Interacts
with senior external personnel on significant technical matters
often requiring coordination between organizations." Basic
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a STEM Discipline (preferably
Engineering) with9 years of experience (ideally in a
space/aerospace environment within S& MA or Quality Assurance)Prior
experience with manufacturing processesUnderstands basic root cause
and corrective action processingBe capable of and willing to
traveling to supplier's sites, both CONUS and InternationalPossess
an active US PassportMust have US citizenshipPreferred
Qualifications:Prior experience performing source inspections,
process audits, and QMS auditsUnderstands and has conducted root
cause and corrective action processing on productsCertification to
IPC and/or NASA soldering and/or harnessing standardsUnderstands
basic root cause and corrective action processingExperience with
electronic and mechanical manufacturing processesExperience in the
fabrication of RF printed wiring boardsExperience in the
fabrication of printed wiring boardsSalary Range: $117,700 USD
$176,500 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in
addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward
individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in
company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions
may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop
