Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Contract
Administrator to join its team of qualified and diverse individuals
supporting its Space Sector Contracts Operations. This is a unique
opportunity to build experience, mentoring relationships and career
growth by contributing to the Contracts role from the Sector level.
This position is in Redondo Beach, CA. and offers unique
flexibility while supporting restricted customers.
The Contract Administrator will produce high quality Contract
Management related products supporting the NGSP Tactical Space
Systems Division (TSSD) Space Security Systems (SPS) programs. This
position requires a strong background in DOD contracting, excellent
communication skills, and strong interpersonal and organizational
skills. The ideal candidate is a team player; but also, a strong
independent contributor with strong leadership skills, demonstrated
problem-solving skills, and a proactive, detail-oriented
approach.
This position is located in Redondo Beach, CA.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for, but
not limited to the following:
Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and
nonstandard contracts
Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract
administration, and customer contact activities to provide for
proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with
company policies, legal requirements, and customer
specifications
Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production
costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure
accuracy and completeness
Processes specifications, progress and other reports
Advises management of contractual rights and obligations
Compiles and analyzes data
Maintains historical information
Prepares bids
*This position may be filled as a level 2 or level 3
Basic Qualifications for a Contract Administrator 2:
Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience in contracts
management, contract administration and/or industry related
experience, or a master's degree with 1 year of related
experience
MS Office to include Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Active DOD Top Secret with the ability to obtain a SCI and Program
Special Access
Basic Qualifications for a Principal Contract Administrator 3:
Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in contracts
management, contract administration and/or industry related
experience, or a master's degree with 3 years of related
experience
MS Office to include Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Active DOD Top Secret with the ability to obtain a SCI and Program
Special Access
Preferred Qualifications for both levels:
Aerospace and defense industry experience
Experience in contract negotiations
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Salary Range: $70,200 USD - $105,200 USD
Salary Range 2: $86,300 USD - $129,500 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to
base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
