This position can be filled at any of our Redondo Beach, CA, Morrisville, NC, Aurora, CO, Fairfax, VA, or Linthicum, MD offices.What you'll get to do? As a Systems Engineer on this team, you will support a team of engineers to define, develop, decompose, analyze, verify, and validate requirements for a Ground Segment. In this role, you will be supporting program leadership and the customer to define and maintain the technical baseline. Ultimately, you will support the program through maturity and milestones to achieve the mission, ensuring everything is synchronized.We have multiple Systems Engineering positions across the Ruby Ground program, on contract to deliver the ground segment for a restricted space program. This work will span command and control, mission planning and scheduling, mission processing, and system infrastructure. We have anticipated future growth to deliver additional ground capabilities.The successful candidate will have broad Systems Engineering lifecycle knowledge, with the ability to digest changes and present them to the technical and management teams in concise briefings. Candidate is expected to operate independently with little oversight in a dynamic environment, to be highly self-motivated, reporting information to IPT leads, and the customer. The individual is expected to handle diverse assignments with efficiency, finding unique solutions and working in a very collaborative and fast paced environment that continues to grow in size. Experience with system modeling is preferred.This requisition may be filled at a higher job grade based on the qualifications listed below.This requisition may be filled as either a Systems Engineer, a Principal Systems Engineer, or a Senior Principal Systems Engineer.Basic Qualifications for a Systems Engineer:Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and willing to submit to a polygraph2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline; 0 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degreeWorking knowledge of systems engineering principles and processesDemonstrated experience quickly learning new concepts and approachesBasic Qualifications for Principal Systems Engineer:Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and willing to submit to a polygraph5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline; 3 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degree; 0 years of experience with a PhDWorking knowledge of systems engineering principles and processesDemonstrated experience quickly learning new concepts and approachesBasic Qualifications for Senior Principal Systems Engineer:Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and willing to submit to a polygraph9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline; 7 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degree; 4 years of experience with a PhDWorking knowledge of systems engineering principles and processesDemonstrated experience quickly learning new concepts and approachesPreferred Qualifications:Active TS/SCI clearanceFamiliarity with space vehicle ground segment designExperience with Agile developmentEffectively communicate and present to project and program management, other technical managers and customersFamiliarity and direct experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering languages (SysML/UML) and conceptsExcellent technical writing and team building skillsSalary Range: $101,400 USD - $152,200 USDSalary Range 2: $125,800 USD - $188,600 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
