The Communications function at Northrop Grumman's historic Space Park campus in Redondo Beach, CA is looking for experienced Marketing & Communications experts who love finding creative ways to engage, inform and influence audiences via content-driven, omni-channel communications campaigns.

If your skillset includes strong creative and storytelling abilities, superior organizational, project management and time management skills, a borderline-fanatical attention to detail while keeping the big picture in mind, and the ability to think and work quickly without sacrificing work quality, you might be our ideal candidate.

If you have experience using all those skills while working with senior-level executives in the aerospace & defense industry, you've already earned extra credit points.

+ You're a seasoned corporate communications, marketing or PR professional who can identify a great story and tell it via multiple traditional and digital mediums.

+ You've served as a strategic communications advisor to senior-level leaders, and you understand the demands that come with that level of engagement.

+ You love brainstorming, and can pitch outside-the-box tactics better than anyone you know...

+ ...but you're just as good at using traditional communications tactics to accomplish the goals your internal customers set.

+ You understand how to create short- and long-term communications campaign plans that are content-driven, targeted and measurable.

+ You're creative, tech-savvy, and fascinated by the latest communications tools and technologies.

+ You're familiar with -- and comfortable creating campaign plans that use -- all modern communications channels, both traditional and non-traditional.

+ You're experienced with digital and social media, and you have a deep understanding of how to communicate via digital channels.

+ You have excellent writing and presentation skills, and you're passionate about telling compelling stories with words, photos, videos, podcasts and graphics.

+ You live by prioritization and organization.

+ You're positive, poised and approachable, able to work independently and in partnership with senior executives/employees, and confident in offering communications counsel to business partners.

+ You thrive in fast-paced, action-oriented environments and are able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, reprioritize quickly and meet deadlines.

+ You have a demonstrated understanding of communications and global topics, priorities and trends.

+ You're a little bit (or a lot bit) of a nerd, and you love all things related to space exploration and science.

More about the job:

+ You'll report to the External Communications Manager and join an eight-member team tasked with business, crisis and executive communications, editorial and content generation, and community affairs.

+ You'll work with a cross-functional team to design and execute strategic, omni-channel marketing, brand awareness and communication campaigns that inform, influence and engage demographically and geographically diverse audiences, some of whom are difficult to reach.

+ You'll develop and execute audience-specific content, campaigns, and programs, along with related materials for use by multiple external and internal stakeholders.

+ In partnership with sector and corporate communications teams, you'll plan and oversee advertising and public relations activities, including event planning and execution.

+ You'll draft and review communications for effectiveness and consistency.

+ You'll write, edit and lead the design of promotional and collateral materials, conference papers, social media posts, speeches, business proposals and case studies.

+ You'll assist in the planning and execution of internal and external leadership communications activities.

+ You'll provide detailed campaign performance reporting.

+ You'll work with the sector and corporate communications teams to ensure all activities align with overall goals and strategies.

**Qualifications:**

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of marketing, communications, and PR experience, or a master's degree and 4 years of marketing, communications, and PR experience. May consider an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of the degree

+ Must have an active TS/SCI clearance

+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint and OneDrive

+ Experience with Associated Press style

+ Outstanding writing skills

+ Top-notch presentation and speaking skills

+ Excellent time management skills

+ Highly organized and detail-oriented

+ Ability to work independently while managing multiple deliverables

+ Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn about complex, highly technical topics

+ Must be a U.S. Citizen

+ Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance

+ Domestic and international travel may be required

**Preferred Skills:**

+ An active DoD Top Secret clearance

+ Experience with audience analysis, segmentation and targeting

+ Experience with content performance measurement and analysis
