We are a trusted mission payload and ground system provider with extensive experience providing end-to-end mission solutions from concept through operations and support. In this role, you will join our team located at our Space Park campus in Redondo Beach, CA.What you'll get to do?As a test engineer on this team, you will have the opportunity to test software that is part of a large, complex code base to ensure its capabilities, documented in requirements, are working as the customer expects. You will take the testing through the full life-cycle to include writing test procedures, preparing for peer reviews, performing dry runs and preparing for customer milestones. You will have the privilege of direct customer interface as you prepare for and perform test readiness reviews and requirements sell-off. You will have a direct role in ensuring delivery of a quality product and customer satisfaction. The environment is Java Eclipse on Linux; creating and editing Perl scripts is necessary to perform the test runs. The future of this test organization includes a transition to a web-based environment using Python, using agile principles and DevOps automated testing methodologies.This role may be filled at the Principle Software Test Engineer grade or Sr. Principal Software Test Engineer grade based on the qualifications listed below.Basic Qualifications for a Principal Software Test Engineer:5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; 3 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degree; 0 years of experience with a PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degreeActive DoD Top Secret clearance or SCI accessExposure to LinuxSuccess developing/manipulating scripts or debugging softwareDemonstrated experience quickly learning new concepts and approachesBasic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal Software Test Engineer:Bachelor's degree with 9 years of related experience; Master's degree with 7 years of related experience; PhD with 4 years of related experience; or an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degreeProficiency in one or more of the following: C++, Java, C, C#, .NetAgile methodologies and techniques, continuous integrationDemonstrated problem solving and decision making skillsExcellent communication, interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of employees and managementPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Agile developmentEffectively communicate and present to project and program management, other technical managers and customersExcellent technical writing and team building skillsSalary Range: $101,400 USD $152,200 USDSalary Range 2: $125,800 USD $188,600 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
