This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.In this role, you will become part of Northrop Grumman's Strategic Space Systems Division. We are looking for a high-caliber individual with a background in software mission assurance, software quality, configuration management or audit compliance of software space programs. In this role, you will monitor, audit, and assure software product development compliance to contractual requirements, company standards of excellence, and customer satisfaction.To be successful in this role you should have a good understanding of software development life cycles that align with ISO, AS9100, Agile experience in software product's compliance audits and root cause corrective action, holds a detail oriented approach to identify and capture noncompliance and risks throughout the software's development life cycle and maintenance.Excellent people and technical skills are required to coordinate with subcontractors, various subsystems and interact with management to conduct audits and implement corrective actions. He/she will implement software mission assurance as an integrated part of the SS Mission Assurance Organization, while working with Dev Ops, Systems Engineering, and Simulator Software to identify and resolve process and product compliance issues.Job ResponsibilitiesExperience in the review and extraction of quality assurance requirements from documentationEstablish, implement, and maintain a software mission assurance plan and practices used to ensure products and tools conform to company standards of excellenceSupport tailoring and implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) policies and procedures including performing internal compliance audits and bring non-conformances to resolutionInterpret customer technical, software, and mission assurance requirements and ensure those requirements are integrated into program plans, specifications, and product documentsInterface with software subcontractors in the verification of product design, quality, and reliabilityEnsure compliance with contract program, quality, organizational, and industry alert requirementsAnalyze and interpret trends and execute improvements on key metricsPerform Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) analysis and Problem Solving activities on program-specific deficienciesRepresent Software Mission Assurance at various program reviews and review boardsEnsure Software Risk Management activities are executed according to standards and proceduresProvide Supplier Chain Management support for product procurement including resolution of requirements exceptions form offers/suppliers, Subcontractor Data Requirements (SDRL) reviews, supplier audits, and inspectionsWitness software build testing, flight software qualification, and Integration and TestProvide Lab support and lab verification in preparation for Software Certification testingAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Space Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including:Medical, Dental & Vision coverage401kEducational AssistanceLife InsuranceEmployee Assistance Programs & Work/Life SolutionsPaid Time OffHealth & Wellness ResourcesEmployee DiscountsThis position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.Basic Qualifications:9 years of experience with a Bachelors in Science in a STEM field; OR 7 years of experience with a Masters; OR 4 years of experience with a PhDExperience in a Software Mission Assurance or related field such as systems engineering, software development, or software configuration managementAble to read and interpret engineering documentation such as contractual standards, program plans, statement of work, requirements, software specs, test plans/procedures and/or software test reports.Able to read and understand Software Code including but not limited to: C++, C#, Python, etcExperience with ISO and/or AS9100 standards requirementsCandidate must have, and be able to maintain, at least ONE of the following active U.S. Government security clearances:Dept of Defense Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years; OR SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 yearsPreferred SkillsKnowledge of Root Cause and Corrective Action toolsAbility to understand and work with multiple enterprise-wide systems and software development tools (e.G. DOORs, Jira, Confluence, BitBucket., or others)Advanced experience in applying waterfall, spiral, and Agile life cyclesSalary Range: $114,300 USD $171,500 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
