Come be a part of our mission. Northrop Grumman Space Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Ground Element New Business Capture Manager based out of Redondo Beach, CA. The New Business Manager is a direct report to the ground element project director supporting across the AMS BU portfolio of programs. The role is responsible for leading the BPE/CROM/ECP proposal activities to secure new business for the Ground Element.The New Business Capture Manager is responsible for leading certain proposals, responding to proposal requests in various states of strategy, preparations, and negotiations. This role will require coordination and collaboration across the ground hardware, software and SEIT areas, as well as cross functional teams including pricing, proposal ops, contracts, engineering and GSC. The New Business Capture Manager responsibilities include developing an end to end proposal product for the Ground Element team which includes technical content, cost, schedule, risks, GR&A and be able to brief senior leadership at heading checks. Work is reviewed for adequacy in meeting program objectives. The New Business Capture Manager is also responsible for representing the Ground Element in program level proposals and growth initiatives activities such as Task Order studies and NCTA. Our ideal candidate will also report to the ground element leadership team the status and management of the proposals and new business activities across the program and business area. Basic Qualifications:
  • 9 Years with Bachelors STEM, or 7 Years with Masters, or 4 Years with PhD
  • Current SCI access or current DoD Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access prior to start date
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working with Business Development or Capture Management execution and management
  • Experience leading capture and proposal teams -
  • Experience in systems engineering, development, integration, and test
  • Domain expertise in Satellite Command and Control and Mission Planning
  • Good multi-tasking, communication and presentation skills Preferred Qualifications:
    • Master's degree in STEM or Business Administration/Management
    • Domain expertise in Ground systems engineering
    • Domain Expertise in Ground terminal development cost estimation
    • Experience with subcontracts and/or Inter/Intracompany Work Order (IWO)
    • Active Top Secret/SCI Salary Range: $176,100 - $264,100 Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
