possible.Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD)
has an opening for a Structural Design, Analysis & Integration
(SDAI) Section Manager - 2. This position will be located in
Redondo Beach, California.As a Manager, you will lead a group of
approximately 15 engineers responsible for the structural design,
analysis, or routing and installation of mechanical subsystems and
mechanical design integration ranging from T01 to T06 levels. You
will provide support to multiple space programs in both
unclassified and classified environments.Roles and
Responsibilities:Provide leadership and direction to team
membersEnsure members have sufficient statements of workManage
employee performance (including engagement strategies for higher
performers and corrective actions for lower performers)Coordinate
with programs to ensure appropriate staffing/de-staffing actions
are developed and executed relative to their sectionEnsure
employees are familiar with, and use required engineering processes
and tools.Resolve technical challenges on programs involving
section members.Make decisions regarding required escalation and
resources required for resolution.Responsible for day-to-day
operation of the organization including employee movement and
balancing of resources among programs; and resolving
critical/urgent program/technical issues.Basic
Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology,
Engineering, or Math) discipline with 5 years of space design,
analysis, subsystems design and integration experience, or
mechanical design integration space experience.Experience with
industry standard design or analysis tools such as: CATIA V5, NX,
Teamcenter, Engineering Central and Geometric Dimensioning &
Tolerance applications (GD&T), FEMAP, Nastran, EnoviaCandidate
must be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret or Top
Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain an SCI
clearancePreferred Qualifications:Prior functional management
experience or engineering team lead experienceMaster's Degree in
Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace EngineeringExcellent
communicator and work well in a team environmentActive Top Secret
and/or SCI clearance with an SSBI within the last 6 years.Northrop

Schedules:For example, some roles offer the ability to work a 9/80
work schedule, which allows an employee to work a nine-hour day
Monday through Thursday and take every other Friday off of
workSalary Range: $147,800 USD - $221,800 USDEmployees may be
eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual
bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as
allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice
President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of
