Systems has an opening for a Support Equipment (SE) Engineering
Manager 2. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA in
support of both the F-35 and F/A-18 programs.What you will get to
do:Lead a multi-disciplined team dispersed between Redondo Beach,
CA, El Segundo, CA, and Fort Worth, TX, by developing and
sustaining Support Equipment hardware, reporting progress up to the
F-35 and F/A-18 Sustainment directorate level.Conduct employee
performance assessments, career development discussions, staffing
forecasts and assimilating new members to the Support Equipment
Engineering team.Develop proposal artifacts and manage budgets that
support various annualized and discrete contractual
objectives.Develop, manage, and brief programmatic status and
performance measures in support of recurring reviews with NG
leadership and industry partners.Coordinate with Northrop Field
Service Engineers to address questions from various bases around
the world.Be the single point of accountability for accomplishing
program objectives for the team.Identify and communicate design and
issue impacts across the larger logistics community on the program
to drive design changes and ensure all supportability, program and
customer requirements are addressed.Coordinate with suppliers and
other Northrop Grumman business entities to understand and resolve
issues associated with supportability and support equipment
products and services.Prepare and manage project schedule and
budgets to include EVMS and prepare status reports on the health of
the projects.Identify risks and issues and coordinate with project
teams to mitigate and retire risks.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor of
Science Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math
(STEM).Must-have at least 7 years of experience in design, project
engineering or relevant engineering experience.Ability to obtain
and maintain an active in-scope DOD Secret Security
Clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Master of Science Degree.F/A-18
and/or F-35 program experience.Experience working on Military
programs.Experience developing and coaching for leadership and
performance.Experience integrating Engineering efforts across the
disciplines described above.Experience with Systems Engineering
Processes.Prior military experience on airborne platforms in an
operational or maintenance environment.Previous experience dealing
with Risks and Issues.Cost Account Manager (CAM) & Earned Value
ManagementSystems (EVMS) proficiencyPossess excellent
interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and experience
leveraging Microsoft Office suite applications.Salary Range:
$118,600 USD $178,000 USDEmployees may be eligible for a
discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are
designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President
or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In
addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including
