SSSD is seeking a qualified leader for a Sub-Project Manager
(Electronics Engineering Manager 3) opportunity within Operations.
The selected Individual is responsible for cost and schedule
performance and overall execution for P093 RF hardware package
within Ground and Electronics Manufacturing (GEM) and Space
Manufacturing and Engineering (SM&E). This position is located
at our Space Park Campus in Redondo Beach, CA.
The Sub-Project Manager (SPM) will be responsible for production
execution and delivery of this program work package across all
manufacturing areas within SSSD, including mechanical fabrication,
assembly and test of modules, board assemblies, slices, and final
configured items.
In this role you:
Serve as primary interface to program leadership for all electronic
and mechanical manufacturing on -$120M RF P093 work package
Includes coordinating inputs from all manufacturing areas for
baselining, IBR, cost and schedule reporting and updates,
manufacturing plan, proposals, CEACs as required
Accountable for cost and schedule variance explanations and EV
methodology
Manage risk, issues, and opportunities across work package,
escalate to program and functional leadership as needed
Provide leadership for forward strategic manufacturing plan,
incorporating inputs from each manufacturing area to result in the
best plan for program work package
Manage critical path and overall work package priorities
Determine staffing plan for support organizations: such as MPS,
OPM, MRP-make, PMI-make, PC.
Coordinate and escalate help needed from other organization: such
as Engineering, Quality, GSC, PM&P, etc.
Provide inputs to coordinate procurement / receiving priorities
Demonstrate leadership qualities and ability to motivate and engage
cross discipline teams to execute efficiently
Individual will be key stakeholder, and may be required to lead
Tiger Teams and lead various proposal efforts within
organization

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule
allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday
to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's of Science Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering,
or Math (STEM) discipline plus 9 years' experience of electronics
or mechanical manufacturing or design experience OR Master's of
Science Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM)
discipline plus 7 years of electronics or mechanical manufacturing
or design experience.
A minimum five (5) years experience leading people, project, or
programs with technical, cross-functional teams
Must have U.S. Citizenship with a current or active Top Secret
level clearance and the ability to obtain SCI level access.
Preferred Qualifications:
Aerospace flight production or design experience
Experience with EVMS methodology
Experience and knowledge with Electronic and Mechanical Production
procedures and manufacturing processes
Experience with proposal writing and reviews
Must have U.S. Citizenship with a current or active SCI level
clearance.
This position reports to Manhattan Beach, CA, USA, however, this
position can also be worked from Redondo Beach, CA, CA, USA.
Salary Range: $176,100 USD - $264,100 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to
base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage,
