The Consolidated Operations and Anomaly Support Team (COAST), a
large restricted E2 O&M program, is seeking a highly motivated
individual that will lead and manage the Agile Early Careers and
Software Processes in collaboration with the SW Assistant Program
Manager (APM) and SW Deputy Assistant Program Manager (DAPM).
As the Agile Early Careers and Software Process Manager, the
Software Manager 1 will be expected to develop and mentor a team of
early careers engineers and be the primary contact for process
documentation, preparing the software team for process audits,
taking ownership of the team's process documentation, and updating
processes and documentation to reflect the new capabilities. They
will also be responsible for strategizing, planning, and assisting
with the Agile transformation of a large, restricted
Waterfall-based software team and serve as the Scrum Master for an
IT DevSecOps Scrum Team. The Agile Early Careers and Software
Process Manager will perform all functional management duties for
their direct reports, including career development/opportunity
management, goal setting, promotion planning, execution of the
annual performance review process, and providing regular
performance feedback. The Lead can expect to spend 20-25% of their
time on manager-related activities.
Candidate will also be expected to fill a 20% part-time functional
Section Manager role and will be responsible for 6 - 10 junior
software engineers. The responsibilities of the p/t section manager
role include Support functional management activities such as
staffing and workload forecast; employee engagement, mentoring and
career development; identification and training of skills required
to execute on programs; Participate in sourcing, recruiting,
onboarding, and performance management
Basic Qualifications:
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to
base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
