The Primary location for this position is Redondo Beach, CA.The selected candidate will work with teams creating compliant, compelling business proposals that result in winning new business with domestic and international customers. Manage and report on monthly financial metrics to the program and GSC leadership.Responsibilities:Essential Functions:Responsible for leading a Proposal/Financial Team, who direct and manage the cost, schedule, and performance requirements of the customer proposal and execution sales. The Manager will be responsible for and act as the main focal point to the F35 program for all Major sustainment proposal/Sales related activities within their portfolio, escalating issues to Senior Level management as needed, brief internal executive management and the Customer on the status/issues affecting performance or cost, and conduct program reviews with the Program Office. It is the Manager's job to ensure all portfolio proposals and sales metrics are meeting Customer, Program, and Company needs.The manager will further be responsible for managing the personnel on their team - coaching, growing, guiding, and enriching their careers as they manage related tasks.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Develops and executes proposal plans, estimates resources (people, schedule, and budget), analyzes RFPs, creates outlines and compliance matricesCreates compliant, compelling proposals that clearly and succinctly address the RFP requirementsEnsures on-time delivery of proposals and document lessons learned to improve processesIdentifies strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations.Understanding of financial accounting and ability to forecast supply-chain related cash requirements and performanceThe selected manager should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. This leader must be able to collaborate closely with executive leadership, program managers, contracts, operations, business management, quality and engineering.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with at least 8-years of experience, or a Master's degree with at least 6-years of experience (High School Diploma/Equivalency with 9-years' of experience in lieu of degree) combined experience in any of the following: Proposal Management, Strategic Sourcing, Subcontracts Management, Procurement, Program Management, or Contracts ManagementExperience with SAP or related purchasing software, in addition to Excel, PowerPoint, & MS ProjectExperience conducting oral presentations to executive leadership3+ years of Leadership experience - Manager or Team Lead experience is acceptableAbility to obtain a DOD Secret Security ClearanceSalary Range: $118,600 USD - $178,000 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
