We have an opening for a Software Engineering Manager 2 to join our qualified, diverse Consolidated Operations and Anomaly Support Team (COAST). The selected candidate will lead a team of software developers within their Mission Software Subsystem (MSS). You will provide the technical and people leadership skills needed to establish and maintain a world class Software Engineering organization and have overall responsibility for the development, design, implementation, application, training, and product support of state-of-the-art solutions in support of new business CROMs, ECPs, Task Orders, and Studies.


Core Responsibilities:


Support functional management activities such as staffing and workload forecast; employee engagement, mentoring and career development; identification and training of skills required to execute on the program

Support Business Strategy Efforts (including proposals, gate reviews, and independent review teams as necessary)

Provide the processes and tools required to meet the current and future needs of program


Basic Qualifications:


9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; 7 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degree; 4 years of relevant experience with a PhD. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree

Previous ground systems experience with technical background in ground system requirements development, design, software development, software integration & test

Demonstrated ability to develop effective processes, implement process improvements and streamline activities

Active SCI clearance or active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI clearance


Preferred Qualifications:


Master's degree in a relevant technical or management specialty

Leadership role as a Technical Lead, SPM, or Deputy SPM preferred

Experience with Agile software development practices, including leadership roles like Scrum Master, Product Owner, etc.

Active TS/SCI clearance

Current NGSP PGS employee working within the GES or MCS Operating Units at Space Park


Salary Range: $143,500 USD - $215,300 USD


Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
