Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a EPS Project Management (Principal/Sr. Principal) to join our team of qualified, Diverse individuals. This position can be located in Redondo Beach, Rancho Bernardo, Palmdale, El Segundo, CA, or Melbourne, FL. The position will be primarily based in-office, with potential for Hybrid work arrangements.

Within GSC, the Engineering Property System (EPS) Project Manager oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing EPS projects and serves as liaison between internal customers, management, and EPS system administrators. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with engineering, program managers, GSC/EPS management and customers.

The EPS Project Manager supports the management and execution of the EPS. This role provides oversight and coordination of the EPS network (Control Account); acts as liaison between internal customers, management, and EPS system administrators; monthly metrics reporting; and Contract Closeouts. In addition, the EPS Project Manager develops training material for EPS with new managers, EPS new hires, and general users. Other tasks for this role include database cleanup, review and update of active/closed networks (Control Accounts).

This role is NOT a Manager OR Leadership position.

Responsibility
Supports proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, approves payment, and maintains necessary records of material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory cycle(s)
Coordinates and follows up with suppliers, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and movement of materials and services.

Authority
Expected to gain and exercise adequate subject-matter knowledge in support of organizational and program objectives
Authority to use knowledge and expertise in the areas of processing procurement orders and monitoring timely deliveries from suppliers.

Accountability
Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Accountable for providing excellent customer service with attention to detail for independent tasking; network maintenance, contract closeouts and resolve issue functions within EPS and SAP

This position may be filled at either the Principal or Sr. Principal level
Basic Qualifications (Principal - Level3):

  • Bachelor's degree with 6 year's experience, 4 year's experience with a masters, or 14 years total work experience may be considered in place of degree. Experience should be primarily within supply chain, procurement, contracts, purchasing, supplier/vendor acquisition, or similar related field of work.
  • Must be able to obtain a DOD Security clearance or higher, including ability to obtain program access.Basic Qualifications (Sr. Principal - Level4):
    • Bachelor's degree with 10 year's experience, 8 year's experience with a masters, or 14 years total work experience may be considered in place of degree. Experience should be primarily within supply chain, procurement, contracts, purchasing, supplier/vendor acquisition, or similar related field of work.
    • Must be able to obtain a DOD Security clearance or higher, including ability to obtain program access.Preferred Qualifications:
      • Previous experience in Supply Chain, including supply/demand tracking and planning within a manufacturing environment
      • SAP Knowledge
      • CAM Experience
      • EPS experience or other similar contract/procurement software platform
      • Knowledge of supplier, purchasing, and acquisition metrics
      • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of employee and management Salary Range: $72,400 USD - $134,600 USD
        Salary Range 2: $83,800 USD - $155,900 USD

        Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
