Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) is an industry-leading
provider for prime satellite and payload capabilities and directed

opening for an Sr. Principal Engineer. This position will be
located in Redondo Beach, CA and will report directly to the
Cryocoolers Operating Unit General Manager. This role may offer a
competitive relocation assistance package. What You'll Get To Do:
Selected candidate will support Product Line and Product Readiness
execution to ensure mission success. Lead technical reviews of all
Cryocooler drawings, SOW's, requirements document as required for
affordable, on-time hardware deliveries. Performs and assures
customer reliability expectations, risk management and
maintainability of Cryocooler program deliveries with Mission
Assurance (MA) and Engineering functions. Assesses Cryocooler
Production performance and risks and determines resources to ensure
customer mission assurance is achieved. This role reports to the
Cryocoolers Product Line Manager (PLM) and assists Program Managers
(PMs), and Responsible Design Engineers (RDEs) for potential reach
across and reach back with Mission Assurance, Production and
Engineering. Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining the
Cryocoolers Product Review Boards and ensuring MA Program Quality
Plans are being executed. Support Cryocooler Failure Review Board
(FRBs) and Anomaly Review Board (ARB) ensuring identification with
stakeholders and support functions of root cause and proper
implementation of timely, efficient corrective actions and reach
back and reach across the operating unit. Assist MA function in
preparation and execution on of Program Preventive and Corrective
Action Board (PCAB). Develop and maintain Cryocooler OU Product
Line Metrics. Assist in the preparation of the Program Management
Program Review packages. Ensure deliverables from PQM with
Cryocooler Customer Corrective Action Requests. Support IPT MA & QE
in Conditional Acceptance requirements and flow down. Monitor
timely closure of Conditionally Accepted hardware and work
corrective actions with affected Program(s), and IPT MA & QEs .
Support Engineering Review Boards. Acceptance of functional and
integrated test events. (Must be able to obtain Top Secret

9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
- US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher
(awarded within the past 6 years)
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM discipline and 9 years, of experience
or Master's with 7 years of experience and or PhD with 0 years of
experience. And additional 4 years of experience may be considered
in lieu of a degree.
- Active Secret Clearance (awarded within the past 6 years) with
ability to obtain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance
- Experience in developing and implementing Engineering and
Mission Assurance or Quality Assurance plans and Review
Boards.
- Experience in engineering product configuration and quality
management systems to support program processes, audits, and
improvement.
- Demonstrated ability prioritizing tasks and meeting
deadlines.
- Experience with product configuration management, manufacturing
and test labs quality assurance processes.
- Experience with root cause corrective actions and MRB.
- Demonstrates strong leadership capabilities.
- Previous technical experience with space, air, and/or defense
Production products These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in a STEM discipline
- US Citizenship with an Active Top-Secret Clearance or higher
(awarded within the past 6 years)
- Experience with developmental and operational testing.
- Experience with Program Management, Functional Management,
Mission Assurance Engineering and Quality Engineering
practices
- Experience in Space Systems/Sub-Systems design, construction,
or sustainment
- Experience in process monitoring, data collection, analysis,
and metric reporting for overall program and segments" Salary
Range: $117,700 USD - $176,500 USD Employees may be eligible for a
discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are
designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President
or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In
