The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change. Your Responsibilities As a Senior GNSS Navigation Engineer for ISG-Torrance , located in Torrance, CA, or ISG Kaiserslautern , Germany you will: Apply in-depth and broad GNSS navigation algorithms and estimation theory to contribute the research and development of navigation products and solutions. Design, implement, test and document complex GNSS navigation algorithms using C/C++ for use in embedded systems Participate in peer reviews of software designs, algorithm designs and software implementation Collaborate and communicate with cross disciplinary team members to quickly and effectively diagnose and solve system defects and deliver features and improvements VISA Sponsorship is available for this position What Skills You Need Understand complicated GNSS RTK, precise point positioning algorithms, their implementation in C++ embedded software, and it's optimization for efficient operation Experience working with Kalman filters (design/tuning) Have at least 3 years embedded C/C++ software development experience, excellent programming skills in C/ C++ with a thorough understanding of modern C++ and the standard library Excellent understanding of software development life cycles and use of related tools and process (bug tracking, source control, design documentation, etc.). Strong team player who is able to work independently with high level direction and minimal day-to-day supervision Strong verbal and written communication skills What Makes You Stand Out Experience in high precision navigation algorithm development such as RTK/Network RTK//PPP with ambiguity resolution. Experience working with inertial sensors, including measurement errors and models and multi-sensor fusion algorithms Education Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: Master's Degree or PhD in Geomatics, Computer Science or equivalent with 3 years of experience in software engineering, preferably embedded SW.
