Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) has an
opening for a Manager S03, Facilities Reliability & Risk
Engineering to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA and serve
multiple buildings and locations.
The Facilities Reliability & Risk Engineering manager oversees the
Facilities risk and maintenance assurance programs, technical
project engineering support, and 24x7 Dispatch Control Center and
computer maintenance management support (CMMS) system (IBM Maximo)
supporting SSSD Space Park sites in Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach,
and Carson, CA. This consists of 5M+ occupied square feet
(unclassified & classified) covering 130 acres, 48 buildings, and
10,000+ employees.
In this role you will:
Manage direct report staff of exempt and contracted workers,
including a level 2 manager with direct report staff of
exempt/non-exempt and contracted workers
Oversee the enterprise facilities risk assessment process for Space
Park
Facilitate the Site Infrastructure Preventative and Corrective
Action Board (IPCAB) investigations and related briefings
Partner with internal and external customers, management, and
organization stakeholders to identify and prioritize key
opportunities for strategic investment to reduce infrastructure
risk to employees and critical hardware
Obtain and interpret program and functional organization facilities
infrastructure requirements
Partner with Facilities Integration Leads to develop and recommend
long-range plans to meet future site infrastructure needs and
submit inputs to the site Long Range Strategic Plan (LRSP)
Partner with Facilities Project team to ensure
infrastructure-related projects comply with standards and
specifications and commissioning activities accurately demonstrate
new-equipment capabilities and compliance with design intent
Participate on Design Standards Community of Practice meetings to
review the site infrastructure design standards and specifications
and ensure they reflect up-to-date infrastructure-specific
requirements, including new and emerging technologies as well as
site maintenance requirements
Formulate, recommend, and ensure compliance with approved standards
and policies relating to site infrastructure, including
site-specific and government requirements
Develop the annual Enterprise Infrastructure Risk Assessment for
SSSD Space Park, including a semi-annual update
Forecast, reconcile and prioritize required investments based on
risk in the LRSP
Serve as the SSSD Space Park Facilities representative on the
Enterprise Facilities Working Group Risk Assessment Team
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering,
Facilities Engineering, and/or other related field with seven (7)
Years of related experience; OR a master's degree with five (5)
years of related experience
5 Years of experience successfully managing and leading teams
Experience with Facilities Management Systems (i.e. - IBM MAXIMO,
AutoCAD).
Experience developing Risk / Opportunity Business Cases
Experience leading Commissioning Activities for facilities
projects
Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio)
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Department of
Defense Top Secret and SCI Clearances
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to attract, retain and develop talent and create an
inclusive culture and build an engaged workforce
Aerospace Industry, large site, multi-building facilities
management experience
Experience in "Classified" building facilities infrastructure
Experience in Aerospace Industry classified maintenance
activities
Experience with building management systems, specifically Tridium
Niagara
Experience with business management systems, such as Tableau, SAP,
Concur
Experience in developing and presenting executive level
briefings
Experience leading construction projects
Possesses active U.S. Government Department of Defense Top Secret
and SCI Clearances
Salary Range: $155,400 USD - $233,200 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to
base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
