Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Project Engineer to join the F-35 Program under Program Integration. This position will be located in Redondo Beach (Space Park), California and is on site. This position may require occasional odd shifts, weekend work and some travel to Palmdale.

This position is a Project Engineering role with a heavy focus on Configuration Management. The selected candidate will be required to have the ability to learn and understand industry Configuration Management practices, and Configuration Identification and Change Management processes, as well as understanding the Sector and Program principles, concepts, practices, and standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Execute Project Engineering projects on schedule.
  • Coordinate with support functions to resolve issues.
  • Provide visibility and status of configuration management data items and change to Program Management and working team.
  • Coordinate with the customer on issues and meeting implementation dates.
  • Understand statement of work and address any issues, impacts and risks.
  • Applies extensive technical expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings, as well as provide status and visibility to Program Management and the working team
  • Focal point for Configuration Management and Data Management their areas of responsibility (Engineering, Production, Sustainment, Global Supply Chain, Software, and Requirements) and cross-team communication and execution.
  • Requires meticulous attention to detail while maintaining control over all documents in flow. The selected candidate should have good coordination, planning, and documentation skills.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) from an accredited university with 2 years engineering experience
    • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to lead multiple projects and meet defined schedule commitments
    • Excellent technical writing skillsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
      • Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) from an accredited university with 2 years engineering experience
      • Technical knowledge and practice in design, analysis, or on-aircraft experience
      • Government Contracts Experience Salary Range: $74,900 USD - $112,300 USD

        Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
