    Defines and monitors mission assurance program specifications and processes to ensure mission success of programs. Performs or assures quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements. Assesses program performance and risks, and determines resources to ensure mission assurance.The selected Mission Assurance engineer will (support) the F-35 Program Quality Team. The position is primarily located in Redondo Beach, CA. The Mission Assurance engineer will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Program Management along with several other functions to ensure overall Mission Assurance of the program. Defines and monitors Mission Assurance program specifications and processes to ensure success. Performs or assures quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements. Assesses program performance and risks, and determines resources to ensure mission assuranceJob duties include:
    • Gather information and prepare briefings for Program Management meetings and with customer.
    • Facilitate and support Root Cause Corrective Action process.
    • Serves as a program liaison with internal and external customers, supply chain, program management, contracts, engineering, and manufacturing functions to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
    • Lead supplier and internal disclosure actions, reporting to program leadership and the customer.
    • Lead and facilitate supplier and internal Quality Assurance Reports (QAR), Corrective Action Requests (CAR), Internal Corrective Action Requests (iCAR), and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) reporting to program leadership and the customer.Basic Qualifications:
      • Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of Aerospace or Quality Engineering experience with a Bachelors of Science; 3 years with Masters, 0 years with a PhD
      • Clearance not required to start. Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance. US Citizenship Required.
      • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
      • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
      • Experience facilitating and leading Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) teams
      • Lead and participate in data gathering, analysis, and presentation activities
      • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationship at all levels.
      • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
      • Must be able to work on sitePreferred Qualifications:
        • Experience with Earned Value Management System; EVMS
        • Knowledgeable with Northrop Grumman internal systems; Manufacturing Execution System (MES). Customer provided systems; Teamcenter JSF Data Library (JDL) and Product Data Management (PDM)
        • Experience with Configuration Management
        • Familiar with System Integration
        • Detail oriented and able to understand the big picture
        • Ability to effectively communicate with executive leadership and customers
        • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
        • Working knowledge and experience with Quality Management Systems (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001, etc.)
        • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt
        • Active DoD Secret Clearance Salary Range: $92,200 USD - $138,400 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
