    Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) has an exciting career opportunity for a Associate Engineer or Engineer, Survivability Aeroacoustics to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be reporting out of Northrop Grumman's South Bay Systems & Specialty Engineering Center of Excellence (CoE) located in Redondo Beach, CA. The qualified applicant will support a diverse portfolio of research and technology development activities. As part of your assignment, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to determine how survivability technologies can best be integrated into air-based systems within the NGAS portfolio. Northrop Grumman is one of the industry leaders in Stealth Technology. As such, we are involved in all phases of development, production, and maintenance of Low Observable (LO) platforms. We are currently looking for experienced Low Observable / Survivability Engineers to work on a variety of challenging projects. One area where we are in need of talent is Acoustics Engineering. Essential Duties:
    • Provide Low Observable system performance using analytical tools
    • Develops and integrates acoustic reduction technologies
    • Develops and implements predictive analysis codes; builds and tests physical models; designs, develops, and builds test and verification equipment; and develops, tests, and integrates acoustic solutions
    • Works closely with engineers of other disciplines to optimize the integration of this technology on existing and future aircraft This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Engineer level or Engineer level.Basic Qualifications for an Associate Engineer:
      • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 0 years of related engineering experience
      • Applied physics and/or aircraft survivability; or comprehensive understanding of acoustics transmission through space
      • A current active U.S. Government in-scope DoD Secret security clearance or higher is required to start, with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP) within a reasonable amount of time to meet business needs Basic Qualifications for an Engineer:
        • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in STEM with 0 years of related engineering experience
        • Applied physics and/or aircraft survivability; or comprehensive understanding of acoustics transmission through space
        • A current active U.S. Government in-scope DoD Secret security clearance or higher is required to start, with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP) within a reasonable amount of time to meet business needs Preferred Qualifications: (the nice to have's)
          • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
          • Experience in one or more CAD software solutions such as CATIA, Unigraphics, or NX
          • Programming experience in C++, MATLAB, Python, or other highly technical languages
          • Knowledge and ability with data processing tools
          • An active U.S. Government issued DoD Top Secret security clearance and/or previous SAP/SAR clearance Salary Range: $68,100 USD - $102,100 USD Salary Range 2: $82,400 USD - $123,600 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
