    Strategic Space Systems Division has an opening for aStaff Mission Assurance Supplier Engineerto join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach CA.As a Staff Mission AssuranceSupplierEngineer you will collaborate with program management, engineering, subcontracts/procurement functional management and supplier management teams to ensure that all procurements meet or exceed the requirements of external and internal customers. You will define the Supplier MA program within the scope of contract requirements and NG policies and processes. You will coordinate and oversee Mission AssuranceSupplierimplementation over all program phases.Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:
    • Supports the maintenance of the approved supplier list and periodically reviews supplier performance to determine whether suppliers should remain on the approved list
    • Ensures that awards and teaming agreements are issued to qualified suppliers through early engagement in the Business Acquisition Process with procurement/subcontracts, business development and program/technical representatives
    • Supports theCommodity Engineering Teams responsible for the procurement of space-qualifiedEEEcomponents, mechanisms, mechanical parts and assemblies
    • Evaluates supplier-non-conformances, negative performance trends and failures and determines root cause and implements corrective and preventive actions
    • Manages supplier requests for waivers, deviations and discrepancy reporting process
    • Determines the resources required to execute the Supplier MA program and ensure team success, manages the resources and ensures the resources are adequately trained

        • Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) field with fourteen (14) years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering or other relevant discipline; OR a Masters degree with twelve (12) years of related experience; OR a PhD with nine (9) years of experience
        • Experience with spacecraft and/or Electronic, Electrical, or Electro-mechanical hardware manufacturing
        • Experience working withnonconforming material (MRB) investigations and/or root cause and corrective actions (RCCA)
        • Experience leading cross-functional teams to resolve program issues or develop and implement process improvements
        • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications
        • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
        • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Government Security ClearancePreferred Qualifications:
          • Proficient in SAP and MES data management systems
          • Knowledge of MRB and RCCA processes and their application with suppliers
          • Knowledge of supply chain management processes
          • Active Top Secret/SCI DoD Government Security Clearance" Salary Range: $141,800 USD - $212,800 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
