Job Description Job Description Master's degree in
Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A
school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is
available for the Summer 2026 Extended School Year (ESY) program in
Wilmington, DE, serving K-12 students. This contract role offers
the opportunity to provide essential speech and language services
across various educational settings within the district, working
Monday through Thursday with a 30-minute paid lunch. Key
Responsibilities: Deliver speech-language therapy to students with
entitlement IEPs spanning elementary, secondary, early childhood,
and transition-age groups. Manage individual caseloads at one of
four possible sites, tailored to your expertise and interests:
Elementary & Secondary ESY at PS DuPont (8:00 am2:30 pm students;
7:30 am3:00 pm staff) Secondary ESY (8:00 am12:00 pm students; 7:30
am12:30 pm staff) Elementary ESY at Hanby (8:30 am12:30 pm
students; 8:00 am1:00 pm staff) Transition Program (Ages 1822)
(7:45 am2:15 pm students; 7:15 am2:45 pm staff) Early Childhood
Program (Bush and Brumskill) (8:30 am11:00 am students; 8:00
am11:30 am staff) Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary
teams to support students educational goals. Maintain accurate
documentation and communicate progress with families and staff.
Qualifications: Valid Delaware SLP license required. Certificate of
Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
preferred. Experience or interest in school-based speech therapy
across diverse age ranges. Candidates at the Clinical Fellow (CF)
level are encouraged to apply; Note: SLP Assistants are not
eligible. Must agree to complete a background check, including an
$85 fingerprinting fee. This is a contract role designed for
professionals committed to impacting student success through
specialized speech-language services during the summer months.
