Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal
Financial Analyst to support the SHORAD (Short Range Air Defense)
Operating Unit under the CSMR (Combat Systems and Mission
Readiness) Division. Put your analytical and problem-solving skills
to the test by pushing the boundaries of what's possible in our

around the world. This role will work directly for the OU Business
Mgr and lead various projects, data calls, and analytical efforts
for the team. The selected candidate will become an integral part
of the SHORAD OU team tasked with providing guidance and support to
the operating unit for all planning and reporting activities. The
ideal candidate will be proactive and have the ability work in a
fast-paced environment. This position will be located in Redondo
Beach, CA or Huntsville, AL with potential for a hybrid schedule.
Job duties and responsibilities, will include, but are not limited
to, the following:
- C reate monthly financial forecasts and analysis to AOP/Prior
IF
- Facilitate Indirect budget and forecast management
- Cash monitoring and analysis to facilitate treasury forecasts
with business unit
- Unbilled and Backlog Review Coordination
- Assist with the LRSP Creation for the full 5-year plan to
include Key Line Metrics
- Analyze NCTA actual costs to budgets and forecasts
- Capital RONA analysis as required
- Top Level Labor Analysis
- Present at various weekly/monthly Leadership Reviews
- Ensure database elements/attributes are coordinated and
correct
- Support the testing and maintenance of financial models
- Perform ad-hoc what if modeling and reporting as required
- Recommend change to optimize the profitability of the company
The ideal candidate will possess the following Basic
Qualifications:
- This position emphasizes skills and experience. Will consider
High School diploma or equivalent (GED) with at least 14 years of
related experience Bachelor's degree with 10 years of related
experience - OR - a Master's degree with 8 years of related
experience
- Knowledge: Broad knowledge with techniques in collecting data,
analyzing information, generating reports
- Software Skills: Strong excel skills, SAP/BW knowledge,
Precision/Cognos/Access awareness
- Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify problems or gaps in
the financial systems or process, solve problems in a creative
manner, and implement opportunities for improvement
- Modeling skills: Must be able to leverage modeling tools and
coordinate with business development teams
- Organizational and time management skills: Must be able to work
within time constraints while managing multiple priorities
- Communication skills: Must possess strong oral and written
communication skills to effectively execute job

- Collaborative skills: Must be able to work together with people
from different teams as required to help them address financial or
system issues
- Project management skills: Should have the ability to
accomplish projects working with and through others including

Qualifications:
- Excel/Macros using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)This
position reports to Redondo Beach, CA, USA, however, this position
can also be worked from Huntsville, AL, AL, USA. Salary Range:
$107,000 USD - $160,600 USD Employees may be eligible for a
discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are
designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President
or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In
addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including
