for an Engineer Systems Architect / Principal Engineer Systems
Architect to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This
position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.The Principal
Engineer Systems Architect or the Sr. Principal Engineer Systems
Architect will be responsible for developing system architectures,
defining key capabilities and performance requirements, decomposing
functionality, and defining interfaces in a Model Based Systems
Engineering (MBSE) environment. This individual will collaborate
with cross-functional engineering teams to establish architecture
content and develop solutions that achieve customer intent. A
successful candidate will demonstrate good communication skills,
systems thinking, and the ability to capture technical design in
MBSE architecture products.This role can be filled at the Principal
or Sr. Principal level based on the qualifications below.Basic
Qualifications for the Principal Engineer Level:Bachelor of Science
degree from an accredited university with 5 years of engineering
related experience; OR a Master's degree in a Science, Technology,
Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 3 years of
experience.Basic Qualifications for the Sr. Principal Engineer
Level:Sr. Principal Engineer Systems Architect requires 9 years
engineering related experience with a Bachelor of Science degree,
OR 7 years engineering related experience with a Master's degree in
a STEM disciplineBasic Qualifications for either level:Ability to
analyze architectures and develop MBSE views in DoDAF/UPDM or
SysMLAbility to work in a collaborative, geographically dispersed
team environmentShould have previous Systems Engineering or MBSE
experienceShould be familiar with DoDAF/UPDM, SysML, or UAFActive
DoD Secret security clearance or DoE equivalent with investigation
in the last 6 years and ability to obtain a special access program
clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Experience developing MBSE
artifacts such as behavior diagrams (activity, sequence, or state
machine) and structure diagrams (block definition and internal
block diagrams) in SysML, DoDAF/UPDM, or UAFExperience with
parametric diagrams and linkage between MBSE tools and Analytical
models such as Matlab.Experience using an MBSE tool, such as Cameo
Enterprise Architecture or MagicDraw, IBM Rhapsody, PTC Integrity
or Windchill Modeler, or Sparx Enterprise ArchitectExperience with
Systems Engineering activities, such as functional analysis,
requirements development and decomposition, interface definition,
or verificationExperience with DOORs or other requirements
management tool and integration with MBSE softwareExperience with
military aircraft architectures and the military aerospace design
environmentInterfacing and presenting to customers.Salary Range:
$101,400 USD - $152,200 USDSalary Range 2: $125,800 USD - $188,600
USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition
to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
