career opportunity for a Engineer or Principal Engineer,
Communications Simulation Engineer to join our team of qualified,
diverse individuals and support the Systems Analysis and Simulation
Group. This position will be at Northrop Grumman's South Bay Center
of Excellence (CoE) located in Redondo Beach, CA.Position
Overview:The Aeronautics Systems Analysis and Simulation
organization is looking for an agile communications engineer to
help create simulations that address current and future
communication capabilities that enable kill chains (detection to
engagement) in todays and future battles.In this role, you will be
asked to work in a small team environment to conduct research,
develop models, and perform analysis of a wide variety of system
types across multiple domains (friendly and adversary; ground, air
and space) to drive the development of clean-sheet requirements,
refine existing program system requirements, and influence the
pursuit of future technologies and capabilities.Essential
Functions:Develop new and/or integrate existing system simulation
frameworks, performance models and algorithms, threat models and
command and control models.Simulates real-time operations and
develops software that simulates behavior of systems.Develops
integrates and uses advanced graphical user interfaces and
visualization tools.Models operational environments, performs trade
studies via computer simulation and recommends alternative
architectures.Performs operational analysis and mission
effectiveness analysis.Solicit input from various stakeholders,
synthesize data, and communicate results to various levels of
leadership within the organization.The selected candidate should
thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations,
significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings
across all levels.This requisition may be filled at either a
Software Engineer level or Principal Software Engineer level.Basic
Qualifications for the Engineer level:Bachelor's Degree in a STEM
(Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from
an accredited university and 2 years of related engineering
experience, or a master's degree and 0 years of
experience.Familiarity with Link 16, Link 11, MADL, IFDL, CDL or
other LPI/LPD waveforms.Familiarity with C++, Python, or another
programming language and or MATLABA current active in-scope U.S.
Government DoD Secret security clearance or higher is required to
start, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret
clearance with Special Program Access (PAR/SAP).Basic
Qualifications for the Principal Engineer level:Bachelor's Degree
in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics)
discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related
engineering experience, or a master's degree and 3 years of
experience, or 0 years of experience with a PhD.Familiarity with
Link 16, Link 11, MADL, IFDL, CDL or other LPI/LPD
waveforms.Familiarity with C++, Python, or another programming
language and or MATLABA current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD
Secret security clearance or higher is required to start, with the
ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with Special
Program Access (PAR/SAP).Preferred Qualifications:Experience with
Model Simulation & Analysis (MS&A), Operations
Analysis.Familiarity with AGILE/SCRUM.Experience in AFSIM
Modeling.Excellent communications skills, including the ability to
present and brief technical date to all levels of leadership within
the organization and U.S. Government.A current active in-scope U.S.
Government DoD Top Secret security clearance with current or
previous Special Program Access (SAP)/SCI.Salary Range: $85,000 USD
$127,400 USDSalary Range 2: $104,600 USD $157,000 USDEmployees may
be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as
well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in
Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
