Job Description:

Responsibilities include:
Assisting doctors with patient care, sterilize instruments & maintain clean treatment rooms
Protecting patient confidentiality, making sure protected health information is secured by not leaving PHI in plain sight and logging off the computer before leaving it unattended.
Preparing patient and recording medical history, vitals, symptoms, concerns confirming purpose of visit, bonding and making patients feel comfortable in preparation for visit with the doctor.
Anticipating the provider's needs before, during, and after patient treatments.
Provide support to the doctor by maintaining medical equipment, properly supplied and ready for procedures, as well as maintaining exam room inventory and listing needed supplies as necessary
Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures
Assists in maintaining and documenting of patient chart with current information on patient's condition, care provided and follow-up prescribed by the physician/provider
Arranging any lab or other diagnostic/clinical tests or treatments & submitting prescriptions as ordered by the physician
Keeps medical office supplies adequately stocked by anticipating inventory needs and monitoring office equipment

Qualifications:
Professional demeanor and appearance required
Previous experience in the medical field required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required in dealing with patients, co-workers, and public
Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding work environment
Customer service oriented, responding promptly to patient's needs
Organized & detail oriented
Flexible, self-motivated, dedicated to quality patient care and customer service
X-ray experience or license a plus
